WAYLAND, MA, July 8, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cambridge Who's Who, the world's fastest growing publisher of executive, professional, and entrepreneurial biographies, has inducted writer and business owner David Brisson, President of Brisson Group, into its 300,000-member registry.

A self-taught writer and marketing communications practitioner, David Brisson embarked upon his writing career in 1980, when he began crafting feature stories for the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, as well as advertising and collateral copy for prominent Boston advertising agencies, including Arnold & Company, Doremus, and Weber Group.

In 1987, Mr. Brisson changed his business model phasing out his journalistic work for more lucrative opportunities in corporate communications. In 1990, he collaborated with baseball great Wade Boggs on The Techniques of Modern Hitting, an instructional book on batting. He also shifted his marketing efforts from ad agencies to large, high tech enterprises, enlisting industry leaders, such as Siemens Nixdorf, Lotus, and Stratus to contract his services.

The turning point in Mr. Brisson's career came in 1995, when he developed and implemented an innovative Customer Public Relations program for 3Com. Mr. Brisson, supported by contractors he hired to assist him, wrote and placed press releases on 3Com customers at leading business and trade publications. After incorporating in 1999, Brisson Group expanded its relationship with 3Com, taking over management of the networking company's Global Case Study program, which included enlisting and writing success stories on accounts worldwide. Since then, Brisson Group launched similar programs for Ascential Software and Brocade. Most recently, the company received vendor approval from Cisco Systems.

Based in suburban Boston, Mr. Brisson earned a Master's Degree in History the University of Virginia in 1976. He received his Bachelor's Degree in History in 1974 from the University of Massachusetts.
