LAKE FOREST, IL, July 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Teen-Aiders Foundation, an Illinois 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping Lake County's homeless will be holding a Charity Benefit on Friday, July 31, 2009.

Teen-Aiders' defined mission is to facilitate aid to homeless children while fostering a spirit of philanthropy, activism and awareness in teen volunteers. Teen-Aiders provides local teens with a variety of educational and philanthropic activities designed to help them build an awareness of the realities of the homeless problem right here in Lake County. Through this program, teens gain an appreciation for their own fortunate circumstances while participating in rewarding experiences that provide a foundation of volunteerism that the teens will carry with them into adulthood. Just as importantly, these programs are directly focused on improving the lives of the local children who are victims of homelessness.

The July 31st charity event will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the clubhouse at 1455 Shermer Road in Northbrook, IL. The event will be a casual silent auction benefit, stocked with items designed to help your home as well as game tickets and vacation get-aways. Each dollar raised will allow Teen-Aiders to provide a greater scope of programs that empower teens to make a difference in the lives of homeless children. The event is open to the public. The $25 ticket provides entry to the event, door prizes, open bar and hors devours. Tickets can be purchased at the door, on-line at www.teen-aiders.org, or by contacting Marybeth Reiff at 847-877-3936.
