Lucky Sprout, A New Earth-Friendly Apparel Company, Connects Kids, Fun Characters and Positive Messages

Lucky Sprout, an eco-friendly apparel company, offers organic clothing featuring fun characters and positive messages for infants and kids. A portion of every tee shirt sale is donated to charities all over the world.

SEATTLE, WA, July 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lucky Sprout believes good deeds are worth promoting. To that end, this young Seattle-based design and apparel company has launched a new collection of ethically made, organic t-shirts that encourage children and adults alike to "Be a Good Seed."

Lucky Sprout expresses its do-right message in a playful manner, employing a unique and whimsical cast of illustrated characters to communicate people- and planet-friendly values. Each t-shirt front features an illustration of one of the Lucky Sprout characters engaged in a beneficial action - conserving water, promoting cooperation, celebrating happiness. The back of the t-shirts offer positive and sometimes humorous statements related to the design on the front. For example, on the "Rain Catcher" t-shirt, a character named Kaboing is collecting a drop of dew. The front of the t-shirt reads "Water. Collect some." and the back states, "Every Drop Counts." On the "Wind Catcher" t-shirt, the lead good seed, Lucky, is whirling around on top of a wind turbine. The front reads "Wind. Catch some." while the back suggests we "Start Global Whirling."

Other colorfully illustrated characters include a winged character named Piper and Turbo, the Lucky Sprout crew's resident prankster.

Each t-shirt is made with certified organic cotton, low impact garment dyes, and non-toxic, water-based inks. Whenever possible, Lucky Sprout sources talent and materials in a way that benefits those who buy their goods and those who make them.

Giving Program

For every Lucky Sprout organic t-shirt purchased, one dollar is donated to a non-profit organization that is doing good things. Lucky Sprout chooses the benefactors of their giving program based on the valuable work they do in relation to the environmental and social challenges that are at the root of the Lucky Sprout illustrations. Each t-shirt in the company's collection is linked to a specific non-profit organization.

The Lucky Sprout company is inspired by the work of the organizations listed below as well as by the dedicated and resourceful people who help these non-profits operate so successfully:

Smile Train - Smile Train is the world's largest and most effective cleft charity, providing free cleft lip and palate surgery for children living in impoverished circumstances.
