LEESBURG, VA, July 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kristen Gorman, Student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of engineering studies.
As a student at Virginia Tech, Ms. Gorman studies mathematics and science applications as well as the practical applications behind science. She recently finished her freshman year at the university and has decided on engineering as her major. Named on the Dean's List in her first year, she attributes her success to having a good family, being raised with good values and the support she receives from her parents and friends.
Ms. Gorman is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is the recipient of two medals for competing on the Alpine Ski Team at Virginia Tech. After graduating, she intends to work for an engineering firm.
