National Photo Awards Annual Photo Contest Winners Announced

    /24-7PressRelease/ - February 09, 2006 - The National Photo Awards announced this week that the winners of their annual photo competition have been posted. The contest is juried by a panel of national level judges and is now into it's third year. The judging took place on January 30th, 2006. The 2005 Amateur Photographer of the Year and the Annual Photo Contest Overall Winner is Mara Zaslove from Santa Monica, California with her entry titled "Disney Hall".

The 2005 Professional Photographer of the Year is Chris Dei from West Nyack, New York with her entry titled "Lion in the Serengeti".

The Monthly Photo Contest Overall Winner is Debra Raskin, an amateur photographer from Dunnellon, Florida with her entry "Hurricane Horses".

David Rex Ketchum, an amateur photographer from Mobile, Alabama, has been selected as the 2005 "Master of the Macro" title winner with his photo entry titled "Drip II".

The Rising Star Award winner (Most Promising Amateur Award) is Dave Tunge with his entry "Lone Soldier".

Jude McConkey, a professional photographer from Kincheloe, Michigan, is the USA Cup Award winner with her entry "Reincarnation".

The January Photographer of the Month is Alex Koloskov. Alex is the cash prize winner for January. Alex is an amateur photographer from Alpharetta, GA. His photo titled "Milk Drop" won in the Macro, Abstract or Still Life category.

The NPA hosts a free weekly contest, the annual contest and a monthly cash award added photo contest. Educational articles and hundreds of photographs from talented photographers are displayed on the site. National and International entries are accepted.
