TROY, MI, August 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mary Catherine Stychno, Manager of Global Supply Management for Delphi Corporation, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in business leadership.

Ms. Stychno is recognized by her peers for her ability to analyze highly technical business processes and develop responses and systems that reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase profits. A seasoned professional with 33 years of work experience, she joined Delphi Packard Electric Systems in 1976 as Data Processing Programmer and Systems Analyst. Over the next 17 years, Ms. Stychno was promoted through positions of increasing responsibility in industrial engineering, manufacturing information systems, and material production control. She began working in supply management in 1993 as a Senior Buyer, procuring rubber products for Delphi. In 1996 she was promoted to Assistant Manager of Purchasing, and in 1999, she joined Delphi Energy and Chassis Systems as Manager of Supply Management Processes and Systems.

Since 2003, as Manager of Global Supply Management Process, Ms. Stychno has directed supply management processes across 6 divisions in 4 global regions for Delphi Global Supply Management, supporting $13.5 billion in procurement. Leading a 12-member global Process Management Task Force, she has helped Delphi to initiate process improvements aimed at achieving industry benchmarks and improving results corporate-wide.

Ms. Stychno is respected for her stamina, courage, unwavering direction, integrity, confidence and clarity in the midst of chaos. When Delphi filed for bankruptcy in October 2005, Cathy and her staff had already established robust contingency and restructuring plans to minimize the impact to customers and suppliers, and eventually enabled the company to emerge as a strong, lean, and profitable company.

Currently, Ms. Stychno is applying her global supply management expertise in Human Resources, and is responsible for establishing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) for many of Delphi's new shared services to third party suppliers. Ms. Stychno greatly enjoys traveling internationally and working with counterparts to assure compliance across operations in six divisions and four global regions.

Ms. Stychno received her Master of Science in Manufacturing Management from Kettering University and her Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Technology and Mathematics from Youngstown State University. An Accredited Professional through The Higher Learning Commission, she is affiliated with the Institute of Supply Management, the Sourcing Interests Group, the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association, the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the National Association of Purchasing Management.
