Anne L. Bernstein has produced more than 20 shows including the highly acclaimed "Broadway: The Golden Age"

NEW YORK, NY, August 11, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne L. Bernstein, Producer and Owner of The BERNSTEIN theater, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in theater production.

With an extensive professional background that spans over 35 years, Ms. Bernstein began her career in theater production at Perry-Mansfield, where she first met actor-director James Edmondson and actor-choreographer Bick Goss. She went on to produce alongside actress-producer Mary Ellen Ashley at Ashbern Productions and has been producing for over 21 years. She will soon be the owner of The BERNSTEIN theater. She has produced more than 20 shows including "Amateur Night at The Big Heart," "The Pirates of Penzance," and the highly acclaimed "Broadway: The Golden Age," for which she is currently lead producing the next two installments. She also served as an associate producer for shows such as "Grace & Glorie," "Marlene," "As Bees In Honey Drown," "Oblivian Postponed," "June Moon," "A Delicate Balance," "The Party," "Hedda Gabler," "My Old Lady" and "Streakin'." Her first film, "A Tale of 2 Pizzas," opened two years ago and is now available on DVD.

As Honorary Fellow of Shenkar College, Ms. Bernstein is currently working closely with Peter Wolff to schedule tour company productions in Israel for the next five to eight years. They will perform at a theater that is currently under construction and will be soon named.

Ms. Bernstein is a renowned expert in theater and film production. At The BERNSTEIN theater, she is in charge of overseeing all aspects of running a theater. Active within her professional community, she serves on the board of directors of The Acting Company, Transport Group, Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Musical Mondays Theater Lab, Inc. She is also a board member for the American Committee for Shenkar College and is a patron and contributor to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the Gorilla Foundation, the Manhattan Theatre Club, 2nd Stage, Primary Stages and Playwrights Horizons.
