San Diego Face Lift Patients Adding Laser Therapies

High-tech options are helping enhance surgical results for procedures like face lifts. Procedures that combine laser therapies with facial surgery are gaining popularity with women and men aiming to achieve results that look better and last longer.

VISTA, CA, September 17, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- More patients are adding laser therapy to their San Diego face lift procedures as a way to enhance their surgical results. The cosmetic surgeons at Face Beautiful Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery (www.face-beautiful.com) say they are seeing a sharp rise in interest in these procedures, and they expect them to continue growing in popularity.

"Until recently, patients who didn't want to get a full face lift had to 'settle' for nonsurgical options that got limited results," explains board-certified facial plastic surgeon Dr. Amir Moradi. "Now, I use laser therapies combined with less invasive surgical options to deliver dramatic results with much less downtime."

The practice's "Laser and a Lift" options combine limited-incision facial surgery with laser skin therapy, rejuvenating and repositioning facial tissues in one procedure without the extensive incisions and longer recovery times of traditional facial surgery. The San Diego mini facelift combination will not reposition facial tissues to the same extent as a full facelift, but by adding laser therapy skin quality is improved and the skin is encouraged to become firmer, tighter, and healthier.

The result is smoother, more youthful-looking skin with much less of the wrinkles, sagginess, and pigmentation problems that characterize "old" facial tissues.

"The biggest attraction with these procedures is the quality and quickness of the results," says cosmetic surgeon Dr. Regg Antle. "We offer a number of different options for the laser treatment and the surgical component, but in all of these cases the smaller-scale approaches mean rapid, highly customizable procedures with very little downtime. Patients get results they want, without as long a time commitment."

Another factor is the lower cost. At their San Diego facial plastic surgery center, Drs. Moradi and Antle offer "Laser and a Lift" procedures that are more affordable than a full facelift, making the combination highly popular with patients who are looking for an exceptional cosmetic value. Many will also choose to complement their results with BOTOX Cosmetic or other injectables.

"These procedures are highly adaptable, so they offer great opportunities to customize the results for the patient, without a lot of extra time," says Dr. Moradi. "For older patients, a standard San Diego face lift may be more effective, but for the majority of patients who just want to look a little younger, these procedures offer great results quickly."

Dr. Amir Moradi and Dr. Regg Antle partner together at Face Beautiful Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery (www.face-beautiful.com), where they offer both full-scale cosmetic surgery procedures and minimally-invasive options such as laser therapy. Dr. Moradi received his medical doctorate with honors from the University of California San Diego, underwent extensive training at Duke University Medical Center, and received board certification from both the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery). Dr. Antle received his medical doctorate from Baylor University College of Medicine and trained in reconstructive surgery at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego. He has over 20 years of cosmetic and laser experience.
