High Demand for New Homes of Candlewood

Upscale style, versatile floor plans, great location and attainable pricing and financing add up to solid reasons to buy a new home, and to buy it now!

SANTA BARBARA, CA, September 23, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Area homebuyers are fueling steady sales at Candlewood in The Preserve at Chino, reports Candlewood builder Pardee Homes. "Upscale style, versatile floor plans, great location and attainable pricing and financing add up to solid reasons to buy a new home, and to buy it now," said Peter Altuchow, sales director for Pardee Homes' Inland Empire region. "Our buyers agree!"

Priced from the low $400,000s, Candlewood is a limited collection of detached homes with approximately 2,502 to 3,232 square feet of living space, plus two- and three-bay tandem garages. The two- and three-story designs provide up to 6 bedrooms and 4 baths, and feature some very distinctive layouts and room options.

"Some buyers really appreciate a formal dining room, while others are focused on a home office or a comfortable suite for a live-in parent, or study space for their children, or an extra bedroom," said Alan Gooch, Candlewood sales representative. "At Candlewood, they can customize for these preferences with choices that include third floor rooms, detached casitas and second bedroom suites."

Thoughtful designs at Candlewood also focus on outdoor enjoyment, with courtyards and generous rear yards and direct connections from these areas to family, dining and kitchen spaces. "Indoor/outdoor living and entertaining is something to enjoy nearly year around in California," said Altuchow. "Candlewood designs makes it easy."

A rich array of price-included enrichments complement Candlewood's floorplan designs. Among them: fully integrated high tech wiring for video, telephone, data and networking needs; fireplaces with pre-cast concrete mantels, hearths and surrounds; custom-crafted staircases; and gourmet kitchens with a stainless steel Whirlpool appliance package and stylish beech or maple cabinetry. Among optional choices are crown molding room packages, built-in media centers, garage storage systems, exterior holiday light outlets, KitchenAid appliances, spa jets in the master bath and closet organizer systems.

Candlewood homes are also highly energy efficient, which can mean lower utility bills. Pardee Homes' EnergySmart and LivingSmart programs include third-party certification, which verifies that the company's energy-efficiency measures exceed local and federal building codes. "Now you can spend less to run your home, enjoy it more and help conserve natural resources," said Gooch.

Gooch added that for all Candlewood homes that started construction after April 1 of this year, LivingSmart standards provide additional benefits in EnergySmart, EarthSmart, HealthSmart and WaterSmart groupings. See sales center for details.

Candlewood also features California Friendly Home, a program developed by water agencies and new home builders to bring environmentally friendly homes that can reduce water use up to 30 percent compared with a typical new home. As shown in Candlewood's Plan One model, California Friendly features include sustainable landscaping, smart irrigation systems and such water-savings devices as high-efficiency clothes washers and low flow toilets and showerheads, many of which are available options at Candlewood.

"These homes are fresh, inviting and well-tailored for our lives today," said Altuchow. "Location within The Preserve at Chino further enhances the lifestyle value of Candlewood."

The Preserve at Chino is situated within the rural valleys adjacent to the Santa Ana State Regional Park, the Santa Ana River and the Prado Basin. Residents of Candlewood have access to The Parkhouse, a private 15,000-square foot recreation center that features a junior Olympic pool, large game room, billiards room, fitness center, surround sound theatre, meeting rooms, tennis courts, tot lots, gardens and open lawns on over three acres of land. The Preserve is also planned to include an eight-acre sports park and 33 acres devoted to the planned parks, walkway systems, trails and greenbelts.

The Chino Valley Unified School District will serve the children of The Preserve at Chino. The community has just opened a K-8 school here; the new Preserve Academy is an International Baccalaureate applicant.

Convenient connections to destinations in the LA/Orange/Riverside and San Bernardino area also benefit Candlewood residents. The Preserve at Chino features proximity to the 15, 60, 71 and 91 freeways. Abundant commercial and industrial businesses will enable many residents to work close to home, and a variety of shopping and entertainment options are within easy reach of the new community.

"Candlewood offers a truly exceptional--and limited--ownership opportunity," said Altuchow. "We urge area home shoppers to visit today."

Candlewood's sales gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day except Wednesday, when hours are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. To reach the gallery from the 91 Freeway, take the 71 Corona Expressway.
