21st Century Boys Come In All Shapes And Sizes For Boys Hoodies

For the first time ever, online boys clothing retailer Joe Bloggs Clothing are carrying out a study which aims to answer the question - How do Boys feel about their body image?

MANCHESTER, October 01, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It is widely accepted that amongst girls and women, there is a variety of different body shapes. With pear shaped women carrying their weight around their hips, and apple shaped women carrying their weight around their mid-section is it possible that the same applies to men and boys?

For the first time ever, online boys clothing retailer Joe Bloggs Boys Clothing are carrying out a study which aims to answer this very question. They are about to launch a pioneering study which will look at boys figures and body shapes, an area which has largely been ignored in terms of research. The results of the study could have a big impact on the sizing of clothes for boys between the age of 7-16 years old.

Joe Bloggs Clothing intend to survey 5,000 boys to find out what the average height, waist and inside leg measurements are across the various different age groups. This will hopefully reveal the most common body shapes of 21st Century boys.

Bushra Ahmed, Joe Bloggs PR and Marketing director said: "Joe Bloggs Clothing was established over 20 years ago now and since then, a lot has changed in the world of fashion. Boys are becoming more and more style conscious, particularly as they hit their teenage years and boys hoodies become a real statement.

"We also know that there have been many changes in people's body shapes since then, this has been looked at extensively in women and girls but not so much in boys. Our campaign is looking to highlight the fact that boys also come in all shapes and sizes; there is no such thing as your average Joe anymore! We would like our clothing to reflect that and to cater for all different body shapes.

"We are the first clothing experts to research this sizing issue amongst boys between 7-16 years old. Hopefully we will make it easier for boys of all ages to look good in whatever clothes they buy."
