    LARCHMONT, NY, October 30, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Monday, November 2nd, at 6:00 pm, Clarke Auction, Westchester's Premier Auction Gallery, expects to surpass its recent run of strong sales with a superb collection of Estate Antiques, Exceptional Decorative Arts, and Midcentury Modern Design.

This sale was built around the exceptional taste of a late North Bergen collector along with estates from 740 Park Avenue, Greenwich, 57th Street, Riverdale, Stamford, Ridgefield CT, and Westchester itself.

Decorative Arts highlights consist of a Pair of marked Thomire Paris Gilt-Bronze and Crystal Tazzi; a Bronze Mounted Chinese Export Centerpiece, a Pair of Gilt Bronze and Marble Urns with Flame Finials; KPM Plaques, a 16" Meissen Tray, another pair of Bronze Lidded Urns, a Three Piece Bronze & Porcelain Garniture Set, Moorcroft, Wedgwood Urns, and Tiffany Studios desk sets and bookends.

Antique Furniture include a Period Georgian Pieces such as a Triple Pedestal Dining Table, Ten Side and Armchairs, an Inlaid Sideboard, Two Three-Tier Dumbwaiters; a Tilt-Top Table with Birdcage Base, and Cutlery Box, all from 740 Park Avenue. The Jersey estate provided a pair of Antique Louis XV Chairs and a Louis XVI Armchair with gold upholstery and wood-pegged construction. This sale is again strong in antique furniture.

Of special interest is a large antique rococo giltwood bed, fabricated from an immense two-part
antique mirror, with its original elements restorable to its original form.

Midcentury Modern highlights are a tall Paul Evans Argenta Two-Door Cabinet and Evans Slate-topped Side Table; Edward Wormley Credenza and Chairs, Eames Eiffel Tower Chairs, a burn-marked Parzinger Vanity, Alvar Aalto stools and possible rocker, a set of Six Hans Wegner chairs, Paul McCobb vanity and chest, and quality Danish pieces.

Lighting includes a Louis C Tiffany Furnaces Floor Lamp with mosaic glass base, a Porcelain Cat with Glass Eyes Lamp on Brass Base, a midnight blue Moorcroft Lamp, a set of three Midcentury Rippled Glass and Chrome Pendants, Torchieres, pairs of Midcentury , Dresden, Amber, and Bohemian Glass Lamps; and Twenty Midcentury, Decorative, and Antique Chandeliers.

Carpets to include Orientals as well as an Aubusson-style rug.

Fine art features a pair of early 18th Century French Portraits, antique watercolors in spectacular frames, signed bronzes, a c.1900 American Portrait of a Lady in the style of Cassatt, Midcentury paintings and sculpture
