GiveGet Launched on March 18th

The UK's biggest charity clothing collection, GiveGet launches marking the biannual collaboration between Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx to encourage us to spring clean our wardrobes and donate clothes in an effort to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

/24-7PressRelease/ - EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND, March 22, 2006 - Spring is upon as and tradition holds true that we should clear out the old. Well, this March GiveGet offers the opportunity to sort out your wardrobe and raise funds for charity at the same time. TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK have teamed up again this year to make spring cleaning your wardrobe simple and charitable. All you need to do is to sort it out, bag it and drop it off at your local TK Maxx or Cancer Research UK shop.

GiveGet (http://www.tkmaxx.com/giveget.asp ) is the biannual campaign run by TK Maxx (http://www.tkmaxx.com ) and Cancer Research UK (http://www.cancerresearchuk.org ) and is one of the biggest charity collection campaigns in the UK. The concept is simple: collect any unwanted or unused quality clothing, books, CD's, DVDs and household goods. Then bag it in a GiveGet bag - found at TK Maxx stores nationwide and simply drop it off at TK Maxx. TK Maxx will then pass on the bags to Cancer Research UK where proceeds from all sales will be used to help those suffering from cancer.

GiveGet will be running from Saturday March 18th until Sunday 2nd April and official GiveGet bags can be collected from TK Maxx stores nationwide. Alternatively, simply pop your unwanted goods into regular plastic bag and drop them off at one of over 180 TK Maxx stores across the country. To find your nearest drop off point for GiveGet, visit http://www.tkmaxx.com/giveget/giveget_find.asp. If you can't get to a TK Maxx store, simply drop your bags off at any cancer Research UK shop between March 18th and April 2nd.

The simplest ideas are always the best and with your help, TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK can turn unwanted goods into funds to help more people survive cancer. It really is the most important fashion collection of this spring. Cancer Research UK relies heavily on donations of quality goods from the public and a high profile campaign like GiveGet really can make a difference to those who need it most. Each full GiveGet bag could be worth as much as 30 for Cancer Research UK, so don't leave it to clutter up your wardrobe - sort it, bag it, drop it off.

GiveGet only comes round once every two years and the latest collaboration between Cancer Research UK and TK Maxx, and they are aiming to beat all previous donation targets this year, with the 2 million mark in their sights this year. It's an achievable target with you help - so spread the word about GiveGet and get down to your local TK Maxx or cancer Researc UK store with your unwanted quality goods.
