CALAIS, ME, November 3, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie A. DelMonaco, Special Education Teacher for Calais Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in special education.
As a special education teacher for Calais Elementary School, Ms. DelMonaco is responsible for working with and teaching behavioral students, conducting Individualized Education Program team meetings with parents and ensuring policies are followed. She wanted to work with children and became involved in her profession when her daughter began kindergarten. She attributes her success to her drive to set a good example for her children.
Ms. DelMonaco received her Master's Degree in Education from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2009. She is a member of the Maine Education Association and National Education Association. In the coming years, she intends to pursue her doctorate degree.
