MILFORD, CT, November 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Vita Krall, Ph.D., has been named Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Clinical Psychology. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.
Vita Krall, Ph.D. is an award-winning clinical psychologist who, after 57 years of experience in her profession, operates a private licensed clinical psychology practice in the State of Connecticut. She provides counseling to children, adolescents and adults and uses a neo-Freudian approach to treat children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
Dr. Krall has published three books, titled "Psychological Development Of High Risk Multiple Birth Children" (1990), "Developmental Psychodiagnostic Assessment of Children and Adolescents" (1990), and "A Play Therapy Primer: Therapeutic Approaches to Children With Emotional Problems" (1989). In order to complete the publication "Psychological Development of High Risk Multiple Birth Children," Dr. Krall conducted extensive research on the personality development of multiple birth children beyond twins. The study included triplets, quadruplets and quintuplets. To round out the investigation, she traveled nationwide re-interviewing children as adults with the assistance of psychologist Jerrie Ann Will. She is presently working on the completion of another book, which is about personality testing.
She received her Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in clinical psychology from the University of Rochester, her master's degree in child psychology from The University of Iowa and her bachelor's degree from Antioch College. In 1987 and 1983, she received the Distinguished Psychologist Award from the American Psychological Foundation. She is a member of the American Orthopsychiatric Association and the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Krall is an artist by hobby. She has exhibited her pastel paintings throughout the local area in which she lives.
