With unparalleled expertise in science education, Sheila S. Emmett lends more than 40 years of industry experience to Nazareth Academy High School in LaGrange Park, Illinois. Specialized in Honors Biology and Advanced Placement Biology, she utilizes her expertise in the sciences to teach these two courses for students in ninth through 12th grade.

Mrs. Emmett was nominated eight times for inclusion in Who's Who Among America's Teachers and was named "Professional of the Year" by Cambridge Who's Who for the 2009/2010 year. She holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in human physiology from Southern Illinois University, earned in 1964 and 1965 respectively. She is an emeritus member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, and involves herself with a number of humanitarian efforts including the sponsorship of an Ecuadorian child.
