LAKE WALES, FL, November 19, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Terry L. Fasel, Academic Dean for Warner University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

With 40 years of professional experience, Dr. Fasel attributes his success to his energy and inquisitiveness. As the Dean for Warner University, he is in charge coordinating and collaborating with the Academic, Admissions and Academic Support Service Committee, Institute Effectiveness Committee, Graduate Education Council, and the Institutional Review Board for Research. His responsibilities include overseeing the department of teaching education, physical education, sports management and exercise science, as well as managing the department of social sciences-social work, history and psychology. He is a member of the Board for HEART Program. Dr. Fasel also teaches in the Special Education Program, Master's of Arts in Education Program and Adult Continuing Education, and chairs the Teaching Education Council.

A certified special education teacher in the State of Florida, Dr. Fasel also holds speech correction certification. In 2005, he earned his Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Argosy University. He earned his Master of Arts in Special Education in 1972, and his Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Hearing Therapy in 1969, both from Ball State University.

Dr. Fasel is a member of Who's Who Among American Teachers, the Florida Association of Teacher Educators, and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, and serves as president elect for the Florida Association of Colleges for Teacher Education. He received the Professor of the Year Award from Warner University in 2003.
