Lake Forest, CA, November 19, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Pranab K. Purkait (P.K.), MD, MS has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for his dedication to providing quality healthcare in a competent, compassionate and dignified manner while maintaining high ethical standards.
When asked by Cambridge Who's Who to explain his work, Dr. Purkait said, "I work with an incredible machine [the human body] putting life in motion for athletes. I literally help the blind to walk and the lame to see." Dr. Purkait doesn't only touch his patients, he listens to them because the patient's story paints a vivid picture of their condition. He then cultivates his observations and explores treatment goals. He believes that the mind will be the ultimate medicine in the future and that if exercise could be packed into pills it would be the single most widely prescribed and beneficial medicine in any nation. "I serve my patients from my heart," he says. "It is my priority with clarity of thought because medicine is not only a science, it is also the art of the patient and his individuality interacting with me."
Dr. Pranab K. Purkait (P.K.), MD, MS has lectured and conducted seminars internationally and has a number of publications to his credit. Over the past 25 years, he has built a solid reputation as a researcher, clinician and educator in the field of orthopedics, physical medicine and sports medicine.
