Dana Surena-Mattson has an impressive background in Speech-Language Pathology. She has 12 years of professional experience and owns a successful private practice where she specializes in Oral-Motor, Orofacial Myology, PROMPT, accent reduction and treating professional voice users with laryngeal pathology. Ms. Surena-Mattson is currently creating a state-of- the-art center for children with disabilities. Recipient of the Advanced Continuing Education Award in 2003 and 2009, she notes that she became involved in her profession due to a deep desire to give children the gift of speech and eating. Ms. Surena-Mattson, a New York and Connecticut licensed Speech Pathologist and trained Orofacial Myologist, PROMPT and Hanen clinician, holds a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University (1997); a Bachelor's Degree in Drama and Anthropology from Franklin and Marshall College (1992) and is a trained classical singer. She is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association, the Connecticut Speech and Hearing Association, and the International Association of Orofacial Myology.
