NORWALK, CT, December 3, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edward V. Wachowski, Jr., Assistant Principal at Silvermine Elementary School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.

As an assistant principal at Silvermine Elementary School, Mr. Wachowski is responsible for maintaining discipline, overseeing staff, teaching students, evaluating teachers, conducting meetings with the grade level data teams, overseeing the special education program and assisting the teachers in designing, planning and implementing curriculum. Previously, he taught elementary education to fourth and fifth graders. He attributes his success to his focused nature and to his ability to set and achieve his goals.

A graduate of Manhattanville College, Mr. Wachowski received his master's degree in English as a second language and teaching in 1998 and his bachelor's degree in elementary education and Spanish in 1997, he also received his 6th year degree in educational leadership in 2002 from the University of Bridgeport. He is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and hopes to eventually become the principal.
