As the owner and president of The Crown Winery LLC, Ms. Wilson-Howard specializes in public relations, and she is responsible for managing business operations. The Crown Winery is a retail store and wine manufacturing unit that holds parties, corporate events and weddings. They have twenty acres of vines and produce eight varieties of wine. The store features local artists' paintings, embroidered items, Henley baskets, woodcarvings and glass etchings. After Ms. Wilson-Howard's husband retired, she and her spouse bought land, where they decided to establish a winery. She attributes her success to her energy, strong educational background and her ability to excel as a public speaker.

Ms. Wilson-Howard received her Bachelor's Degree in Communications with a concentration in Theatre from Northwestern University in 1965. She is a certified Miss America judge and baton twirling judge, and is a member of both the Humboldt and Jackson Chambers of Commerce and serves as Vice President and Chairperson of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation. She was honored as the first female drum major in a division one band and was recognized on the National Baton Twirling Hall of Fame. In the future, she intends to expand her business, build a theatre in the vineyard and bring in star performers.
