With 27 years of professional experience, Ms. Kane specializes in orthopedic and rehabilitation care. She takes responsibility in managing the medical and surgical unit, and precepting. Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago provides rehabilitation for diseases, spinal cord injuries, stroke, burn, surgical and oncology patients, in addition to those with respiratory problems. She has always wanted to be a nurse, and she began her career as an aid. She attributes her success to her determination, perseverance and pursuing her goals.

Ms. Kane received her Master of Science in Health Administration from Almeda University in 2009, her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Almeda University in 2003 and her Associate of Science in Health Information Management from Robert Moorse College in 1999. She spent four years in the army after high school and received a Rehabilitation Institute Award for Outstanding Service in 2009. In her spare time, she does volunteer work for the Women with Disabilities Auxiliary of the Untied States Department of Veterans Affairs. In the future, she intends to become involved in case management in a hospital or facility, become a manager of a unit or stem into the insurance field.
