Bennett Machanic Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

    DENVER, CO, January 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bennett Machanic, Neurologist at Neurological Consultants PC and Associate Clinical Professor at the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in medicine.

With 30 years of experience in his field, Dr. Machanic is an expert in electrodiagnostic medicine and dementia and Alzheimer's treatments. In his positions at the School of Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver, he is responsible for teaching neurology residents. Dr. Machanic also lectures nationally on Alzheimer's disease and medical foods. He attributes his success to the support he received from his uncles, who were physicians.

Dr. Machanic received his MD from Johns Hopkins University in 1969. He is a former board member of the Colorado Society of Clinical Neurologists, a board examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. and a member of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. In his spare time, he supports the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Allied Jewish Appeal, The Salvation Army and the Greenpeace Foundation.
