Stratos Jet Charters, Inc. Partners with Homes for Haiti Charity Project

    WINTER PARK, FL, February 02, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In response to the tragic earthquake that devastated Haiti last week, Stratos Jet Charters, Inc., a Florida-based jet charter agency, is partnering with the "Homes for Haiti" charity organization to help rebuild the nation and improve its suffering economy.

Last week, the catastrophic Haitian earthquake took the lives of thousands of people and destroyed most of the city capital. Since the earthquake, many private individuals and companies have stepped forward to donate their time and resources to help the Haitian people. Frequently, these individuals have relied on the use of private jet aircraft to effectively transport medical supplies, equipment and rescue crews to Haiti.

Stratos Jets agents have been working diligently to successfully arrange air charter flights into the city capital of Port Au Prince and deliver much-needed aid. Joel Thomas, president of Stratos Jets, said that he feels proud his company can contribute to the earthquake relief efforts, but that he would like to do more to help Haiti rebuild a more financially-stable state. Thomas said he decided to donate to "Homes for Haiti" because it provides the building blocks for a much stronger economy and will enable the Haitians to take part in their country's reconstruction efforts.

'Homes for Haiti' is a non-profit organization that provides better homes and shelter to families living in the poorest conditions in Northwest Haiti. The houses are built entirely by Haitians and supplies are purchased from local stores. The organization was founded by American entrepreneurs, who believed the construction of these new homes would not only provide better shelter, but create jobs and stimulate the country's struggling economy.

Stratos Jets pledges to donate $500 to "Homes for Haiti" each time a private jet charter flight is arranged to Port Au Prince for relief or aid-type purposes. In addition, Stratos Jets pledges to match every first $1,000 any client is willing to donate to the "Homes for Haiti" organization.
