Las Vegas, NV, February 9, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael R. Callahan, Leadership Officer for the Civil Air Patrol, a nonprofit organization which is an Auxiliary of the United States Air Force, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating, leadership and excellence in guiding and mentoring cadets aged 12 to 18 in Cadet Programs.

As a Leadership Officer for the Civil Air Patrol, Michael R. Callahan is responsible for teaching the fundamentals of leadership by mentoring cadets at the Las Vegas Composite Squadron (renamed from 70th Cadet Squadron), located at the North Las Vegas Airport. He has recently taken on the additional position of Safety Officer, which requires that he conduct a monthly Safety Meeting, make improvements towards creating a safe environment for the squadron, and investigating accidents and generates reports for the chain of command. Mr. Callahan is also employed as a park maintenance worker for Clark County, Nevada, where he ensures that the safety of parks, irrigation, and horticultural practices are maintained.

Mr. Callahan received a Graduate Certificate in Public Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a member of the Army National Guard, where he does many things to improve the quality of life for the members of his unit.
