PALM BEACH, FL, March 09, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The economy may be challenged but wedding bells haven't stopped ringing, and weddings remain one of the special occasions where families will splurge, but still want to get the greatest value for their dollar. In an effort to stimulate activity and inspire creativity during trying times, world renowned Chef Daniel Boulud, his Palm Beach restaurant, Cafe Boulud, Carely Roney of TheKnot, Inc., and The Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club will host "Weddings Under the Palms," an interactive destination wedding event and forum on April 8 -11, 2010, tailored to the needs of national, professional wedding planners. The bridal fashion show will be followed by a courtyard reception, enabling attendees to meet and mingle with local and national experts, including special guest editors, wedding planners, event designers, fashion experts, photographers, bridal hair and makeup specialists, and entertainment providers.

A seated wedding dinner, held in Cafe Boulud's Conservatory and Ballroom, will provide an opportunity to experience world class cuisine created by Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef de Cuisine Zach Bell, followed by an elegant dessert buffet and elaborate wedding cake by Cafe Boulud's Executive Pastry Chef, Matthew Petersen.

The following morning will feature an information-filled Wedding Brunch Roundtable Discussion moderated by Chef Daniel Boulud, and Carley Roney, Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Knot, Inc. a national wedding publication and wedding planning website. Panelists will include editors from local publications, and a host of industry professionals in event planning and decor, floral design, bridal fashion and photography, in addition to representatives from the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau, who highlight the area's many attributes and attractions.

Those attendees who choose to remain throughout the weekend will be at their leisure and may opt on Friday to attend a hosted luncheon sponsored by the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau, followed by a private insider tour of Palm Beach and Worth Avenue, given by expert Leslie Diver of Island Living Tours.
