He was highly sought after as an experienced finance executive that was capable of building out the corporate planning function, non-existent prior to the spin, and as a strong leader who could implement a line of business finance support model. Mr. Capozzi is currently an officer of the company managing an organization of over 100 employees, with responsibility for line of business support, management of business segment scorecards, short and long-term forecasting, business and deal analytics, company-wide project management and the end-to-end sourcing to payment process.

In his two short years at Discover, Mr. Capozzi has assembled a strong team of leaders, shifted the company to real-time forecasting to better support the decision making process, and positioned finance properly in the company. As a result of his efforts, Discover has greater alignment and transparency, more consistency across business areas with enhanced controls, and an increased level of reporting focused on business drivers.
