Howard G. Malin, DPM, MD (hon) Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Howard G. Malin, DPM, MD (hon) served veterans at the VA Health Care System for 32 years



    FREDERICK, MD, March 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Howard G. Malin, a retired podiatric physician with the VA Health Care System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in podiatric medicine.

Prior to his retirement as a podiatric physician for the VA Health Care System, a position he held for 32 years, Dr. Howard G. Malin was responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with foot and ankle disorders, performing physical therapy and surgery, preventing diseases, treating disabilities and deformities through means of physical medicine and rehabilitation, and educating, diagnosing and treating patients on preventive podiatric medicine. Dr. Malin was also a professor of clinical podiatry at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, a professor at Alderson-Broaddus College, a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the School of Medicine at West Virginia University, and an adjunct faculty member at the School of Podiatric Medicine at Barry University. He became involved in his profession because of his interest in medicine, and he attributes his success to his educational background and determination.

Dr. Malin completed his residency in podiatric surgery at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He received a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California School of Podiatric Medicine and an MD (hon) from the School of Medicine, International University of the Health Sciences in Winnipeg, Canada. He earned a Master of Science in Education from Pepperdine University and he earned a Master of Arts in Classics at Brigham Young University. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Inc., president of the American Podiatric Medical Writers Association, and a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology, the American Society of Podiatric Medicine, the American College of Foot & Ankle Orthopedics & Medicine, The Royal Society of Medicine, England, the Royal Society for Public Health, England, Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and Phi Delta Kappa Educational Honor Society. In addition, he is. He is affiliated with the Lions Club and 40/8. He is anticipating pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Classics.
