BIRMINGHAM, AL, April 6, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Sharon R. Berry, Vice President of Christian Academic Publications and Services, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in religious publishing.

Sharon R. Berry, Ph.D., is a recognized expert in the fields of specialized education, administration and supervision. With an impressive professional history spanning over four decades - her resume boasts teaching and administrative positions with such institutions as the Virginia State Department of Education, the Lynchburg Christian Academy, Columbia International University, Association of Christian Schools International and Christian Deaf Fellowship - she now lends her services as Principal Owner and Vice President of Christian Academic Publications.

As such, she oversees the production of religious materials and literature, in charge of developing and editing academic materials. Ms. Berry is uniquely positioned to head such operations, as she has authored/co-authored more than 300 publications primarily related to curriculum. These have covered the topics of education, the Bible and special education, and included "100 Ideas in Classroom Management" and "Across the Centuries," a series of literature teaching units for children's literature. She also developed three major curriculum series including programs on early education, spelling for grades one through six, and Bible education for grades pre-kindergarten through six. She coordinated the development on the college textbook "Philosophy of Education."

When she is not dedicating her time to operating Christian Academic Publications and Services, Ms. Berry can be found volunteering her services at a number of philanthropic organizations. Born to deaf parents, she co-founded the National Institute of Learning Disabilities and continues to serve the organization as a board member and national speaker. She is also a member of the Christian Deaf Foundation, the M. E. Foundation, and serves as vice president of the Riverside Foundation.

Recognized for her hard work and dedication, Ms. Berry is backed by an extensive educational background. Graduated summa cum laude from Gallaudet University, she holds a doctorate in educational administration and supervision. She holds a master's degree in special education with a concentration in learning disabilities and emotional disorders from Old Dominion University and a bachelor's degree in elementary and deaf education from the University of Arkansas. She is fluent in American Sign Language and will seek to start her own consulting firm as she moves forward.
