FAIRFIELD, NJ, April 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Archive Systems, a leading provider of document management services, today announced the company will provide free shredding services at its Franklin, NJ facility to coincide with Earth Day. The event will take place on Saturday, April 24th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. It is open to both organizations and individuals to drop off their mixed office paper, which will be securely shredded and recycled.

"We're excited to host our second annual Shredding Day, which reinforces our Go Green Initiative. This event will help make the community more aware of the dramatic results we all can achieve by recycling. It's our way of taking part in Earth Day and getting more people involved to improve our environment," said BJ Johnson, Archive Systems' Senior Vice President & General Manager of Operations.

As part of the Go Green initiative, Archive Systems also selected a facility that was awarded the LEED Gold Certification when recently expanding its document and records management business into Portland, Oregon. In addition, all of the company's facilities integrate daylight photo-sensor controlled lighting, electric forklifts, Virtual File Delivery of documents to eliminate emissions, and other features.

Anyone who would like to participate in the event can drop off paper for recycling at the 2067 Route 57, Washington, NJ location on April 24th. Archive Systems will only be shredding mixed office paper. No magazines or newspapers will be accepted.

"We hope that municipalities and school districts in the area also take advantage of this opportunity for free document destruction services. It's our way of giving back to the community and helping them cut costs while at the same time doing something good for the environment," added Johnson.
