If travellers want to let their hair down for a few nights during their stay in Rome, they can head down to the Dissonanze dance festival.

ROME, ITALY, April 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Revellers at Rome hotels can expect three days of full-on dance music during the Dissonanze Festival, which is celebrating its tenth edition.

Some of the big names to appear during the event, running from May 21st to 23rd, include Moritz Von Oswald, Jeff Mills, Plastikman and Darkstar, who is booked to play a show in Brighton on the same night, according to Resident Advisor.

The festival is spread across several venues, but most of the major acts will be appearing at the Palazzo dei Congressi on the 21st and 22nd.

On the Friday, music begins there at 22:30 and finishes at 02:00 (local time) the next morning, but the Saturday offers a longer session of dancing, from 19:00 to 04:00.

"In 2010, the Roman festival celebrates itself, giving the gift (to itself and the world) of a journey that draws up, as never before, primary coordinates that are absolutely fundamental," stated the organisers.

They highlighted how there will be world famous DJs, cult live sets, emerging producers and "courageous experimenters" in this year's line-up.

Some other names to watch out for include Gil Scott-Heron, Pantha du Prince, Edwin van der Heide and Gonjasufi.

A two-day pass for the Palazzo dei Congressi performances costs EUR65 (GBP56), while one day is EUR42.

The night at Chiostro del Bramante is priced at EUR15, the Room 26 party is EUR25 and the Ara Pacis show is free.

If you're heading to the Dissonanze this year, we strongly advise that you book your hotel Roma as soon as possible, given the huge popularity of the event.
