SMYRNA, GA, April 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mike McCloud, M.Ed., Teacher and Coach at Campbell High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in secondary education.

For as long as he could remember, Mike McCloud had always been an athlete. An avid football player at Auburn University, he earned a bachelor of science in health and physical education in 1979. He went on to earn a master of science in education, concentrating in educational leadership, at Jacksonville State University with the ambition to one day lead a successful career in physical education.

Today, Mr. McCloud possesses 26 years of expertise, which he lends to Campbell High School as a teacher and coach. Specializing in health and fitness, he is responsible for a myriad of tasks, including teaching personal fitness classes, coaching track and running a weight loss training program. Additionally, he ensures that buses are in safe condition and manages transportation activity, performs administrative tasks, and coordinates honors and awards programs. Recognized for his demonstrated professional excellence, he was named the Atlanta Constitution Millennium Teacher of the Year (2000), the Georgia Male Track Coach of the Year (2001), and the Teacher of the Year (2007).

In an exclusive interview with Cambridge Publishing, Mr. McCloud noted that his success has been largely driven by commitment, passion and inspiration. Moving forward, he will seek to obtain the position of principal. He is certified in administration, curriculum development, physical education and in general studies for students in kindergarten through the 12th grade. In addition to his work at Campbell High School, he is a proud member of the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.
