Watson Land Company Leases 119,077 Square Feet to Global Logistics Leader C.H. Robinson

The firm's five-year lease to occupy an industrial space within Watson Land Company's Dominguez Technology Center is valued at $5 million.



    COSTA MESA, CA, May 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Watson Land Company, one of Southern California's largest industrial real estate developers, has leased 119,077 square feet of industrial space within the Dominguez Technology Center to C.H. Robinson Worldwide (C.H. Robinson), one of the world's largest third party logistics (3PL) providers. The five-year lease is valued at $5 million.

The Eden Prairie, Minn.-based company is relocating from its prior location in Compton, Calif. in order to expand its operations and bolster its global distribution platform.

"As a global logistics provider with more than 35,000 clients throughout the world, C.H. Robinson required a facility with the location and functionality to meet the needs of its extensive distribution network," said Lance Ryan, vice president of marketing and leasing with Watson Land Company. "Locating within the Dominguez Technology Center will allow the firm to both enhance its current operational efficiencies and expand its global reach."

The property is located at 18620 Harmon Avenue in Carson within the master-planned Dominguez Technology Center. The Center is located within close proximity to major Los Angeles freeways and both the ports and airports of Long Beach and is currently home to Hitachi Transport, Target Logistic Services, Forward Air, Inc., Huffy, DHL and Dermalogica, among other distinguished companies.

The property features 23 dock high positions, a 32-foot ceiling clearance, a 135-foot truck turning radius and abundant clerestory glass.
