Chef Point Cafe Goes On The Road

The famous gourmet restaurant is going mobile to the streets of Fort Worth.

WATAUGA, TX, June 01, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Chef Point Cafe, home of the famous "Better Than Sex Chicken", is going on the road.

The fine dining restaurant, located in the Conoco station/convenience store in the Fort Worth suburb of Watauga, cooks up the meanest chicken in town. And now, all of Franson and Paula Nwaeze's delicious dishes are just a phone call away thanks to Chef Point Cafe on Wheels. It's the only mobile restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex!

The Nwaezes will begin serving their delicious dishes for Chef Point Cafe on Wheels Wednesday, June 16th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1220 Pennsylvania Avenue in Fort Worth. The Gordon Boswell Flowers parking lot across the street from Harris Hospital will be their permanent midday Wednesday home. So, if you or anyone you know has a friend or loved one being treated at Harris Hospital, you can take them a scrumptious Lobster Bisque, Fettucini Alfredo Pasta or Mediterranean Salad. It's also great for mothers who have just delivered babies at Harris. A great way to cheer anyone up is to give them an alternative to hospital food.

Check out the Chef Point Cafe On Wheels new website at (http://www.chefpointonwheels.com). The site has the complete menu and other locations the Nwaezes' meals-on-wheels trailer will visit.

The Chef Point Cafe On Wheels is equipped with a complete industrial kitchen. It can "wheel" to any get-together - reunions, neighborhood parties, sporting events or any occasion that brings people together. With the average cost per person ranging from $18 to $30, the minimum charge is $1,000 per event. The price varies based on the type of food, quantity of food and the level of service requested.

Chef Point Cafe is the Nwaezes' creation that has Paula Dean, the Food Network's Guy Fieri, and NPR's Kitchen Sisters all raving. The husband-and-wife team started making plans to open a restaurant in 2001, but most banks were hesitant to lend them start-up capital due to their lack of collateral and experience. They discovered they would much more likely get financing if they opened a gasoline station. When they found a filling station under construction that was for sale, they jumped at the opportunity.

Adding a full kitchen to the plans, they opened for business in 2003. Chef Nwaeze's cuisine quickly developed a loyal following and most of the convenience store was transformed into the current Fort Worth landmark restaurant.

To keep up with all the latest news about Chef Point Cafe, check out its Facebook and Twitter pages. The Fort Worth family restaurant was recently featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" show. The anchors especially loved the Nwaeze's yummy bread pudding.
