    ROME, ITALY, June 03, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- One of the first exhibitions to be put on display at Rome's new MAXXI venue will be Spazio - a collection that will incorporate art and architecture.

The art space opened to the public on May 30th, with travellers at accommodation in Rome able to see this new display from the first day.

Some of the artists whose work is included in this impressive exhibition are Anish Kapoor, Francesco Vezzoli and William Kentridge.

One feature that makes the show a little different to conventional presentation styles is that it winds inside and outside of the main building, with more than 80 pieces to be enjoyed as part of the collection.

This display will be available for viewing until January 23rd 2011 and will include work by the winners of the international MAXXIduepercento competition and a section on Net Art entitled NETinSPACE.

"Spazio portrays the spirit of the museum and will be the first thematic presentation of MAXXI's Art and Architecture collections," explained the venue.

It costs EUR11 (GBP9.10) to enter this brand new art space, which is open from 11:00 (local time) every day except Monday - when the building is shut - and closes at 19:00, with doors staying open until 22:00 on Thursdays.
