A leading industry expert in the field of public relations, Frances Friedman boasts a professional career of over 40 years. Best noted for her efforts with GCI, she served as the company's President and CEO for 7 years prior to her retirement in 1991. Ms. Friedman was the first female to head a major international firm. In addition to her expertise in sales and PR, she was a talented ghost writer and was actively involved with the Clinton administration in 1996, during which time she taught members how to interface with media.

Ms. Friedman, who is distinguished for her professional longevity, was honored with the Bartel's Fellowship Award by the University of New Haven in 1993 and the Women in Communications Matrix Award in 1989. She credits her success to the support of her mentor, who instilled confidence in her.

Ms. Friedman holds a bachelor of business administration from City College, earned in 1948. Recently, she has become more actively involved with local organizations including libraries and community outreach programs.
