BestPokerSites.org Launches Poker Comedy and Online Poker News Blog, Incorporates Social Media Features

BestPokerSites.org has attached a blog to their site, which offers more than just your standard poker news and strategy. The majority of posts are comedy-inspired top lists that provide readers with good information (and oftentimes a chuckle).

ALLEGANY, NY, June 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- At the moment the online poker world is filled with mediocre portals and average blogs that rehash the same content over and over again in an attempt at driving traffic to online poker rooms. Although these portals used to do well in the past, the poker industry has grown wise to this game and is looking for more from poker content providers. BestPokerSites.org aims to be a leader in the poker information industry, and to do more than offer the same old stuff.

Although www.BestPokerSites.org is less than three months old, the site has already added over 100 pages of content including a brand new poker blog that is making some noise in the online poker world. The blog offers relevant, up to date online poker news, but also (and more importantly) offers humorous and creative "top list" articles such as "The Five Biggest Degenerates in Poker" and "The Five Biggest Meltdowns in WSOP History".

These top list articles often poke fun at the players who are listed, but it is all done in good intention, as readers can get a laugh while learning rare, hard-to-find information about high stakes poker players and the online poker industry. Besides the humorous articles, the blog also offers up-to-date online poker news that will keep you informed of the happenings in the online poker world. For example, did you know Phil Ivey just won his eighth WSOP bracelet, and is halfway towards winning a $5 million prop bet with Howard Lederer?

Another neat tidbit about the blog is how easy BestPokerSites.org makes it to share their interesting content with your friends. At the top of each top list article, there is a Facebook "Like" button that you can click to "Like" the post on your Facebook newsfeed. If you are already logged into Facebook you won't even have to leave the BestPokerSites.org blog to like the post. Also, at the end of each post there are four icons that can be used to share the post with your friends via email, Facebook, Twitter, or Digg (and the owner of the site says he's working on adding StumbleUpon as well as other social bookmarking type services).

Users can additionally subscribe to the blog's RSS feed to be notified every single time a new post is added to the blog (which currently is about three times per week, and figures to be more often in the future as the blog adds new authors).

Besides the poker blog, BestPokerSites.org also provides visitors with tons of static content that is aimed at a different type of visitor. If you are brand new to online poker, you may be interested in checking out the online poker guide which teaches players how to choose the best poker site for their personal preferences, how to deposit money for the first time, and how to choose a game once they sign up.

Alternatively, visitors can browse through the poker top lists to find the "Easiest to Beat Poker Sites", "Best USA Poker Sites", and other useful top lists.

Plans for further expansion include an Advanced Online Poker Guide which will offer serious strategy articles for the hardcore poker player who is looking to take his/her game to the next level, as well as the addition of several different languages including Spanish, German, and Danish.
