Specialized in internal and family medicine, Dr. Joseph DeFrank possesses over a decade of professional experience in the healthcare field. Having practiced medicine in his native Dominican Republic for nine years, Dr. DeFrank now celebrates his fourth year as part of the U.S. healthcare system. Currently, he lends his talents to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he practices adult general medicine. He meets with patients in the hospital as well as in a clinic setting, and is responsible for going on rounds and teaching medical students.

Distinguished for his aptitude, goal-oriented nature and perseverance, Dr. DeFrank was named Cambridge Publishing's 2009 Professional of the Year in Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
