BATTLE CREEK, MI, July 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marianne Blanchard, Retired Education Management Professional, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Driven to pursue a career in her field by her father's encouragement, Ms. Blanchard has 33 years of professional experience. A nutrition expert, she was responsible for teaching home economics and food and nutrition classes; she also organized computer nutrition programs and worked for a television food show in SW Michigan. She attributes her success to her desire to help others.

In 1958, Ms. Blanchard received a Master's Degree in Home Economics Education from Michigan State University. She achieved great success as an educator and was named Home Economics Teacher of the Year for the State of Michigan in 1985. She was also noted as one of the top 10 educators in curriculum development in the United States according to the N.H.E.A.

A member of her alma mater's alumni association as well as the Electrical Women's Round Table, Inc., the Michigan Education Association, and the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, she volunteers her free time to the American Red Cross and the Cayman Islands chapter of the British Red Cross. Ms. Blanchard also supports the First Congregational United Church of Christ.
