Australia's best hockey teams will battle it out in Brisbane next month.

Running between August 21st and 28th 2010 at the State Hockey Centre in Brisbane, the occasion will see some of the world's best players take to the pitch in a bid to wow the crowds and claim the silverware.

Jamie Dwyer, Mark Knowles and Liam De Young - the co-captains who guided the Kookaburras to World Cup glory earlier this year - are all expected to play a part in the spectacle.

The likes of Australian Capital Territories, Western Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and local favourites Queensland will all be battling it out to get their hands on the title.

Over the course of the week, four games will take place every day - except for Tuesday and Thursday - in the build up to the finals themselves.

Kick-off times vary each day, as do ticket prices. Entrance to the qualifying stages will costs A$5 for adults and A$2 for pensioners, but rises to A$10 and A$7 respectively for the last day.

Under-13s can get in for free throughout.

The State Hockey Centre attracts well over 100,000 visitors every year, with a further 85,000 using the Community Sports Club facilities.
