Kate Conklin Honored by Cambridge Who's Who

Kate Conklin develops effective working relationships through collaboration and coordination of programs and processes



    HIGHLAND VILLAGE, TX, August 12, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kate Conklin, Vice President, Medical Staff and Quality Resources at the Medical Center of Lewisville, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in healthcare.

With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Conklin attributes her success to the support she receives from her mentors over the years about how to create and sustain a collaborative working relationship with hospital administrators and physicians and understanding the value of that partnership in providing high quality healthcare. Her responsibilities at the Medical Center of Lewisville include oversight of Medical Staff Services (organized Medical Staff) hospital risk management, and the Quality Management Department. She also is in charge of patient safety, regulatory and accreditation surveys for the hospital and coordinating programs and processes with directors, physicians and other hospital employees based on the hospital's mission, vision and values.

Ms. Conklin received her Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Kennedy Western University and received certification in Medical Staff Services Management and is also certified as a Provider Credentialing Specialist. Ms. Conklin is a member of the National Association for Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) and has served in numerous leadership positions within the association. She will serve as President of NAMSS in 2011. She is also an active member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ).
