Ellenwood, GA, August 25, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James C. Horton, Jr., Director of Sights & Sounds Black Cultural Expo Museum, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of his career.

James C. Horton, Jr. is the director of Sights & Sounds Black Cultural Expo Museum, Inc., which is a nonprofit mobile African American Historical Museum that travels around the country to various schools, recreational centers and churches. The expositions are about sharing, educating, cherishing and displaying the great accomplishments of African American Culture and History to the community; as well as the many wonderful success stories that derived out of a people.

Mr. Horton is a visionary, a motivator and a neighborhood advocate, with a passion to assist, encourage and inspire men, women and children through the knowledge and the experience he has gained over the past 46 years of working in the community; as a counselor, mentor, organizer and administrator.

Mr. Horton was the Executive Director of the McDonald Hughes Community Center in Tuscaloosa, AL for 26 years, he also was the Director of the Sate of Alabama Boys Boot Camp, a Social Service Counselor for Tuscaloosa Housing Authority and a Social Worker Assistant for the University of Alabama where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Social Work.

He is proud to have received many awards: Outstanding Community Service Award from the State of Georgia, Outstanding Young Man of America, Community Service Award from the NAACP Tuscaloosa, Outstanding Young Physical Fitness Leader from the Tuscaloosa Jaycees, and one of the most honorable awards was the Proclamation Day of Recognition from the City Of Tuscaloosa.
