A self-taught writer and marketing communications practitioner, Brisson began his writing career in 1980, crafting feature stories for the Boston Globe and Boston Herald, as well as advertising and collateral copy for prominent Boston advertising agencies, including Arnold & Company, Doremus, and Weber Group.
In 1987, Mr. Brisson changed his business model phasing out his journalistic work for more lucrative opportunities in corporate communications. In 1990, he collaborated with baseball great Wade Boggs on The Techniques of Modern Hitting, an instructional book on batting. Shifted his target market from ad agencies to large, high tech enterprises, he launched ongoing relationships industry leaders, such as Siemens Nixdorf, Lotus, and Stratus.
The turning point in Brisson's career came in 1995, when he developed and implemented an innovative Customer Public Relations program for 3Com. Supported by contractors he managed, Brisson wrote and placed press releases on 3Com customers at leading business and trade publications. After incorporating in 1999, Brisson Group expanded its relationship with 3Com, taking over management of the networking company's Global Case Study program, which included writing success stories on accounts worldwide. Since then, Brisson Group initiated similar programs for Ascential Software and Brocade. In 2009, Brisson Group began serviing Cisco Systems.
Based in suburban Boston, Brisson earned a Master's Degree in History at University of Virginia in 1976 and a Bachelor's Degree from University of Massachusetts in 1974. Married with three sons, Brisson, 58, is a fitness buff, sports enthusiast, and longtime devotee of the New England Patriots.
