Press Release October 13, 2010
George A. Yezarski met Don Ho and Elvis Presley, legends that inspired him to pursue a career in music

VICTORVILLE, CA, October 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- George A. Yezarski has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in entertainment services.

Born the third child of Louis & Mary Yezarski on January 4, 1954 in Kittery, Maine, George began a long and fruitful life. Shortly after birth he moved to New Jersey and until age 11 moved every 18 months. George's father was a life time Marine and at the age of seven, George ended up in Hawaii, where his career in music began. While staying in a hotel before moving into a base house, George had the pure luck to meet the great Hawaiian pop star "Don Ho". After a fun-filled time with Mr. Ho, George was very excited about performing.

Beginning with a simple school Christmas show in the fourth grade, George started his long and prosperous life as an entertainer. He performed in school plays such as The Music Man, The Sound of Music and dramas including Our Town. He then went on to play tuba and tenor drums in school bands, conduct orchestras, and perform at county fairs, the Indio Date Festival, Elks and Moose lodges, and much more.

By the age of 15, George established his first band called "The Crystal Ship," and started a weekend radio show with his bass player Mike Bonano. The show aired in three states every Saturday for three years. George attended three summer music sessions at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ, performed in front of crows as large as 10,000. He also worked with world-renowned Boston Orchestra.

In 1976, George entered the United States Air Force, where he quickly moved up the ladder of success, even receiving the Medal of Commendation for above and beyond bravery in a life-threatening aircraft fire while in Anchorage, AK, where he helped alert and bring to safety 136 army personnel on an aircraft believed to be on fire. The Air Force soon learned of George's musical talents and he was entered into the Tops & Blue Talent Show, where he was selected to perform throughout the world with the Tops And Blues. But finding out he was going to become a father, George backed out of spending four years away from his wife and new son, David, and instead performed locally. Also while in the service, George saved the Air Force over 800,000 dollars, thanks to suggestions he made to leadership. He received many Letters of Recognition from generals and other ranks for a job well done. After beginning work as a federal government employee, George organized his own talent show called Operation Warm Heart where he spent a lot of time producing and setting up shows to earn money to help military families in need. Operation Warm Heart was a great success and George still works to this day to help military families.

Using his God-given gift, George met with his congressional leaders in Southern California and helped to write seat belt laws for school buses. Working with many great individuals including "Mr. World" Pete Gyrmkoski, Joe Weber, Frank Stallone, "Mr. Olympia" and "Mr. Universe" George Eiferman, and the great Jack LaLanne, George also organized shows to help promote the safety of children, and with everyone's support, a version of the seat belt law was passed.

Next, George, under his new alias "BJ Cooper," got involved with the Christian Country Music Association, the Country Music Association, BMI and the Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women (LACAAW) as well as entertainment-industry stars including actors from CSI: Las Vegas, CSI: Miami, and Harrison Ford, to provide aid, self-defense training, homes, and safe houses to abused woman and children. BJ Cooper has also used his talent to help cancer victims, humane societies and the military.
