LateRooms.com - See the Lord of the Dance Return in Munich

Michael Flatley will be back as the Lord of the Dance when the show arrives in Munich on November 23rd.

MUNICH, GERMANY, October 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fans of Irish dancing on a grand scale are in for a treat when Michael Flatley brings one of his famous productions to Munich next month.

Lord of the Dance, a show that has delighted audiences and broken box-office records around the world, is set to arrive at the German city's Olympiahalle on Tuesday November 23rd.

Flatley, the Chicago-born star who shot to fame when he created the original Riverdance in 1994, is the choreographer, director and lead dancer of the production.

People heading to the performance from their Munich hotels can expect an unforgettable experience that combines Irish folklore, highly technical dancing, a stirring musical score and stage pyrotechnics.

Since it premiered in 1996, Lord of the Dance has been seen by more than 50 million people around the world.

It sold out four successive weeks at the London Coliseum and also enjoyed an acclaimed five-year residency in Las Vegas.

Indeed, the show has been so successful that there are now two troupes performing Lord of the Dance across the globe, with one group touring Europe and Asia while the other plays to audiences in North and South America.

Earlier this year, Flatley announced that he would return to lead the show at selected arenas in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Marie Duffy Pask, dance director for Lord of the Dance, said the production is based on "a very accelerated style of Irish dance".

She explains on the show's website: "The power of the dance creates a strong bond between the dancers and the audience."

Tickets for the Munich show are available now, priced between EUR32.90 and EUR142.15 (GBP28.60 and GBP123.70)

Audience members will need to be in their seats before 20:00 local time to avoid missing any of the action.
