/24-7PressRelease/ - EDMONTON, AB, CANADA, September 05, 2006 - Alberta freelance writer Bruce Atchison is pleased to participate in the upcoming Authors' Row at the Edmonton Woman's Show on October 14th and 15th. Thanks to the efforts of Authors' Row coordinator Cheryl Kaye Tardif, Atchison will present his debut book When a Man Loves a Rabbit: Learning and Living with Bunnies, a memoir of his up-close-and-personal discoveries about rabbits and their private lives. "I feel somewhat surprised but honoured to be a part of this show," he said of the event. "It'll give my book plenty of exposure and hopefully save some bunny lives too."

In his engaging narrative, Atchison reveals little-known facts about bunnies. For example, these creatures are fastidious groomers, can be litter-trained, and have a startling ability to get into mischief. The author candidly tells of his failures and successes throughout an eight-year period spent in the company of his long-eared friends.

In 1989, Bruce Atchison began writing CD and cassette reviews for various electronic music fan magazines, on an amateur basis. He also contributed articles to the Transport Canada Airports Group staff newsletter Input, during his time working for the Federal
Government in the early nineties. His work has since been professionally published in such widely divergent publications as New Age Journal, Monitoring Times, Spilled Milk, Teak Roundup, West Word, Absolute Write, Upper Room, Miquelon Lake Summer Times, Dialogue, and The Blindman Valley Horizon.

Next year, Atchison plans to publish a second memoir, tentatively titled Deliverance from Jericho. The book will recount his experiences at a school for the blind in the mid-sixties, a time when disabled children were routinely segregated from public schools.
