CONIFER, CO, December 1, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Diana Askew, PLS, Principal and Owner of When Pigs Fly LLC dba Diana E. Askew, PLS, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in land surveying.

Diana Askew is a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) with over three decades of experience embracing the many disciplines of the land surveying profession. Her areas of expertise involve metes and bounds and subdivided property surveys, section breakdowns, mineral survey retracements, and subdivision platting of residential, rural and mountain properties in Colorado. She is also an adjunct professor in the four-year surveying degree program at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, instructing the 300 level courses for Photogrammetry and Real Property Descriptions. Ms. Askew provides expert witness services on an on-call basis in her role as the Jefferson County surveyor as a court appointed expert. She has also prepared land surveyor reports for the Assistant Attorney General assigned to the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. Diana Askew was recently re-elected as the Jefferson County, Colorado, County Surveyor for another 4 years, term ending in 2014.

Additionally, Ms. Askew is currently the Project Manager for the Stapleton Airport Property Transfer Mapping for FAA. She has been and continues to be actively involved with the Stapleton Redevelopment since January of 2000 when she served as the survey project manager for the development review process and land transactions while employed with the City and County of Denver. She prepared subdivisions, development plans, Denver Water easements, site control, and general surveying needs as an Assistant Survey Manager with URS Corporation from 2004-2006.

Ms. Askew also offers project management and event management services as well as website design and maintenance, graphic design, and publication design services. She attributes her success to her tenacity and the inspiration she received from her father.

Diana Askew graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology (BSIT) in 2007. In 1981, she graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Cartography. Currently, she is enrolled in the Certified Federal Surveyors (CFedS) Training Program.


She is the Secretary-Treasurer and Executive Director of the Professional Land Surveyors of Colorado, Inc., an organization that awarded her with the title Land Surveyor of the Year in 2008. In the future, Ms. Askew intends to continue building her business, teaching and mentoring.
