Repair Labs' Fix-iPhones.com Busy As iPhone 4 Issues Cause Consumer Alarm; Complaints Increasing Due to the iPhone 4 Problems

Repair shops that specifically fix iPhones are seeing a number of customer complaints and issues revolving around the latest iPhone model.

WICHITA, KS, December 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With the gadget wars in full swing, many new iPhone 4 owners are finding that they need their iPhone repaired soon after purchase. The bigger shock is finding that the repair they need is often not covered by the smartphone's warranty. While the iPhone is easily one of the more expensive smartphones on the market, it's latest 4th generation model has come with its own set of problems and bugs to fix.

The new gadget boom has created a new industry of certified iPhone repair sites and brick-and-mortar shops around the US. Those that specifically fix iPhones are seeing a number of customer complaints and issues revolving around the latest iPhone model.

Since the release of the iPhone 4, Internet forums, blogs and message boards have been inundated with users complaining that the cameras on the new iPhone 4 were not working as promised. Users are complaining of stuck shutters, application freezes, blacked-out screens and blurred images. The iPhone 4 features a 5-megapixel camera, which Apple claims will stand up to other high definition cell phone cameras. But after so much hype over the iPhone 4, owners are saying the problems they're experiencing should not be happening.

Evidence of the iPhone 4 camera's shortfall is surfacing in the Apple repair shops around the country. Taylor Huddleston, Repair Labs senior technician for iPhone repair, says that almost immediately following the release of the iPhone 4, customers have been placing orders to have the phone's camera repaired.

"People I've talked to are pretty frustrated because they've spent all this money for what is supposed to be the best phone on the market and then right away it needs to be fixed," Huddleston said. "Many times they aren't covered by the Apple warranty."

With the iPhone 4 becoming Apple's most popular iPhone release to date, more and more users are becoming impatient with them to make much-needed improvements. Perhaps with the release of the new iPhone next year, Apple will finally get it right.

Still the most common repairs made by the iPhone and iPad repair shop is for water damage, broken glass and the increasingly popular black-to-white iPhone conversion.

"People I've talked to are pretty interested in customizing their iPhones in new ways," Repair Labs CEO Sean Hennessy said. "Our main goal is just to make owning an iPhone or an iPad better for our customers."
