A self-described Jack of all trades, Y. Star Thompson has enjoyed 20 years of success in various industries. She has devoted most of her career to Snowy Sky, a real estate holding and management company that her family established. Renowned for her business savvy, she is in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a half city block composed of varying establishments, which include a bar, a hotel, a Japanese restaurant and a jewelry store.

Ms. Thompson is particularly proud of her contributions to Star Club, voted "Best Dive Bar in San Diego" in a poll conducted by AOL and declared "Best Bar" by Stuff magazine. A member of her local Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Professional Women, she attributes her success to working hard, believing in her staff, and adopting her father's motto: "My word is my bond." She dedicates her achievements to her late parents, Yukiko and Lloyd Thompson.

Active in a number of charities, Ms. Thompson participates regularly in the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and volunteers with The For All Kids Foundation and Party with Purpose. She hopes to expand the family business to a full city block within the next five years.
