Edith Darwin Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who

    GASTONIA, NC, December 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edith B. Darwin, Retired President of Crescent Realty, Inc. and Club Colony, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in real estate.

Ms. Darwin attributes her success to the great working relationship she had with her husband. A good businessman, he inspired her to invest in Crescent Realty, Inc., an agency specializing in residential real estate. When the couple's six children were grown, they decided to start a second company called Club Colony, Inc., a retirement community. Following the passing of her husband, Ms. Darwin took on all executive responsibilities and utilized the support of a financial officer to maintain the success and progress of the two companies. She has accrued a total of 20 years of experience as the companies' president.

For her numerous achievements, Ms. Darwin was given an honorary doctorate from Belmont Abbey College in 1996. She is also a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and an honorary lifetime member of Gaston Memorial Hospital. Ms. Darwin looks forward to enjoying her retirement in the coming years.
