HI-TECH Mediation Divorce: Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation Couples Meet Online, Not in Court

Having to stare down your ex from across the table in the mediation room could be a thing of the past. Starting January 1, 2011 Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation, a local firm, has made it possible to conduct divorce mediation on-line via computer.

OTTSVILLE, PA, January 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alpha Center for Divorce Mediation, pioneered integrated divorce mediation services 15 years ago, have once again brought critical advancements to the way divorce is handled by introducing a new concept that facilitates divorce mediation online.

Pennsylvania and New Jersey divorcing couples now have an option to mediate online, as an alternative to in-office sessions. This affords clients the privacy of mediating their divorce using their personal computers in a home setting.

Many savvy couples have already learned to forgo expensive and grueling court battles and opted for the common sense divorce mediation approach. Up until now, that meant the inconvenience of traveling distances over the course of several months to meet their mediator in person, in the often uncomfortable presence of their spouse.

As of January 1, 2011, they need only to log onto their computer to conduct their meetings live with their mediator and spouse; all gathered together in a "virtual" mediation room. "We have seen the tension and discomfort experienced by our clients when they are asked to meet in person to resolve their differences with their soon-to-be ex. There is no doubt that this technology will give them greater comfort and convenience as they navigate their divorce challenges." says Alpha Center's president, Keila M. Gilbert, Esquire.

Psychologist Reb Brooks, who works with Alpha Center couples to develop Parenting Plans (in lieu of custody battles) also, feels the new technology will offer a benefit to clients. "Divorce, even a mediated divorce, is a difficult process. Anything that can make it easier on those involved, whether it is financially, emotionally or logistically should be considered a blessing. "This opinion is shared by Ed Roberts, CPA, who provides tax planning strategies for Alpha Center clients. He believes that tax planning and advice he offers is better suited to being discussed in this private and convenient setting.

This technological advancement follows Alpha's earlier development of interactive online programs for Marriage Success, Divorce Survival and New Beginnings. These webinar programs opened the door for attendees to educate themselves and speak with professionals about their personal relationship matters in the privacy of their home computers.
